Problem loading Trainz 2006 with SP1

I've recently purchased a copy of Trainz 2006, which installed fine, and loads up fine on my computer, but I've wanted to download a lot of fan made routes/vehicles etc and they recommend that I install SP1 in order for them to run

So I followed the procedure of uninstalling Trainz 2006 (because apparently it shouldn't run before installing SP1) and repeated the procedure without running it, then I installed the SP1 UK 2773-3099 patch which installed fine.

But if I try to load Trainz now, it shows up an error message that says: "ERROR: CANNOT LOCATE THE CD-ROM. PLEASE FIND CD-ROM AND RESTART THE APPLICATION"

I have the CD in my drive, and I've tried re-installing them both a number of times, but to no avail.

Could someone please help me sort this out?
