Just in case anyone on here plays this......I'm having some woe on it. two things:
a) the tackle/pressure button seems ineffective, with tackles not being made and players flying in and getting simply darted past
b) players send passes in random places, presumably because i just hit the pass button once, generally sending it about 5 yards dead ahead of the player, which is extremely annoying. is there any better way to play, or setting, to help this?

It used to be the best IMO but FIFA has taken over in recent years.

I can remember way back to PS1 times when they didn't even have name copyrights. I remember the likes of Gygs in lieu of Giggs and Battistutta in lieu of Batistuta (what a striker he was back in day). I think CL copyright is the only thing keeping PES going, the lack of PL copyright (Middlebrook or West Midlands Village anyone?) is a massive downside.

I always liked Trad Brick personally

Back in ISS days on the N64 they used older players instead of current ones (well, for the first on that console anyway, and then with incorrect initials). England's team had, among others, R.Banks, J.Platt, S.Wright and T.Keegan... and "Charlton" (8-character limit).

The series was good for making your own players though! My brother and I invented some random teams with such names as "Donutti", "Fenetre", "Francais" - and "Kody" (my sister's cat )...

i have this problem with master league, when i use a team that i've edited, the team name comes up as 'NO TEAM NAME' and any created players come up as 'NO PLAYER NAME'. does anyone know how to fix this?
(btw, it's only some of the created players, and if i try to create a new new game with the same team, the players with 'NO NAME' change)
