Hi does any one know if the island liner rover ( IOW) can have a priv discount applied to it.

If you have a Priv ticket you should have a member of the family who will have access to the fares retail publications portal for rail staff, if you ever need any information regarding this sort of thing, this is where to look for the definitive answer.

I think actually very few people within the passenger rail industry even know about The Manual (this is what the Fares & Retail Publication Portal is now called), let alone how to access it. Indeed I know someone who works in a ticket office for a Toc in a major city, who has never heard of it!

There are also a number of people who are entitled to Priv discount (not relevant in the OP's case) but are not employed by, or have any family members employed by Train Operating Companies, including, but not limited to, employees of certain preserved railways or shipping companies, Network Rail, London Underground, Transport for London, as well as those who are retired, or the spouse of deceased former employees.

Point taken, Don't know what I'd do without the FRPP though, wonder why TOC's don't make the FRPP more well known to it's staff?
