Priv query.

Evening all.
On thursday I need to go to Charlton in Zone 3. Now, both me and the wife get into London for nowt, due to my employer.
So I'm kinda thinking that the cheapest way of doing it is to get a ticket from somewhere like South Hampstead to Charlton on a priv, purely because I disagree with paying for a one day travelcard just to make two journeys. Doing it this way will allow me access to the tube to get from Euston across to Charing Cross, and it's perfectly okay, right??
It should also quite a bit cheaper than the On Day Travelcard is what I'm thinking.

I make it 7 squids for the full fare for the above journey, so 1.75 on priv means 3.50 for both of us, and perfectly legit, even for the tube??

Yes, that is correct. The Anytime Day Single is £7, so £3.50 for two Priv fares, and perfectly valid.

If you're London Midland staff is your travel on Southeastern unlimited or restricted to a set amount of days / boxes? Single to Deptford would save you another 30p each if it's the former, using free travel from there.

Naah, unlimited travel on LM, Southeastern, (including the high speed) Southern and GatEx. Single is no good, as I'll be returning later the same day. For 30p I'm not really that bothered, tbh!! Thanks all the same though.

South Hampstead-Charlton Day Return on Priv is £2.85 a time, the same to Deptford is £2.25 each.

As MattE2010 said, Anytime Day Return is £11.40 full fare, so £2.85 each on Priv.

The Via West Hampstd fare, not valid for what you want to do, is £1.80 Priv return.
