I came here to ask exactly the same. There have been rumours of a Hosking bid, to which his Spokesman said effectively that there had been no contact but if she became available JH may be interested. If she’s at Carnforth it seems more likely that David Smith has got his fingers into yet another pie. But if it means a restored Lizzie, I’m ok with that.

I'm hearing that Carnforth are going to retube and get her out running as part of their pool?

Any chance this was passing through Burton on Trent yesterday about 11.20am? Passed a maroon steam engine and diesels on a Cross Country service to Derby.

All she needs is a set of new tubes - less than £50k - but Mojonnier & Co have no way of raising that at present so they have had to go cap in hand to Carnforth - wonder how long 6201 will remain in independent ownership now?

Should have gone Brunswick Green Clive!

Should have gone Brunswick Green Clive!

Nice thought but would a livery change really have raised the £50K they need?
