Hi

I need to go from Coventry to Watford Junction on a Sunday. It costs £37.20rtn.

On a Saturday I can do the journey for much, much cheaper.... Any one know why it costs more on a Sunday?

It's with Virgin Trains.

I have found I can go with London Midland for £16 rtn which is great but the train wouldn't get me to where I needed to be on time

Thanks

Hello Vicktrick

The fares are the same on a Saturday as ona Sunday. The difference is that there are more trains on a Saturdya, which emans more seats available, which means more cheap Advance fares to choose from. Also, trains generally start later on Sundays.

Unfortunatley, you have said that the LM Only fares will not get you ther ein time. They probably would ona Saturday morning.

If you give detials of tiems and dates, someone may be able to suggets a cheaper way of doing it. This is a great place for that!

Oh, and it looks from the prices you quote that you haven't got a railcard, is that right?
