Preston Station tonight

Display screen flashing like a trader's computer. Why so many platform alterations?

Nothing on National Rail Enquiries as far as I can see, apart from two services to Glasgow Central and Edinburgh being delayed. Hope that helps :)

EDIT: I see what you mean about the alterations; those delayed services actually appear to have been displaced and are thus manically switching platforms.

EDIT 2: Both delayed services - the 1855 and 1900 to those destinations - should now have departed, but as you may see, the 1903 service to Euston is delayed. Hmmm.

Every service on page 1 is a platform alteration. It's notable that I've not heard an announcement yet to explain why ;)

Is it usual for only platforms 3, 4, 5 and 6 to be used on a Sunday evening? That's what is showing on my screen. I suspect it could be a signalling fault if this is an unusual situation, but nothing is showing. I have to confess I don't frequent Preston station.

EDIT: A randomly delayed 1913 service to Liverpool Lime Street is now supposed to use platform 2a. Goodness knows.
