Hi all

I am planning to visit Preston on Monday to photo a few vehicles.

Does anyone know what routes the following buses should end up on as they are required for photographing

Y2NBB
PRN909
G215KRN

And the trio of Wright Streetlites.

Many thanks in advance.

AFAIK, Y2NBB isn't in Preston.

All bar the Lynx can/do venture out on to the Orbit routes.
The Lynx is for a school contract so probably best trying the depot for that.

Might be worth contacting Preston Bus directly, they seem to be pretty enthusiast friendly.

G215KRN - Be at the Savick Way terminus for 8:15am on Monday. It's my school bus, PM me if you need more help.
Unsure about the others, and given that Preston Bus offer little contact to people it's best just to ask at the bus station or depot.

Managed to get the lynx parked up at the depot along with streetlite brz. The other 2 streetlites i photoed in service at the bus station. Only the president outstanding.

Also of note there is a president on the 19a today.

The 19A does see double deckers and larger single deckers during school time and rush hours, with the route serving both Preston College and the Royal Preston Hospital it can get very busy at these times so extra capacity is provided. During the rest of the day the route (along with the 19 which work alternate journeys with each other) sees standard Solos, Solo SRs and Hybrid Versas.

A little late now I know, but the Streetlites are used mainly on the orbitals (88A & 88C) and the 89.

I think Preston Bus are still due 4 Wright Gemini bodied Volvo Hybrids which Rotala purchased with Green Bus funding.

So that's where it's gone. Think Rotala ditched it and gave it to Stagecoach, can someone confirm?

Might be preparing for a test. Kirkham is their usual PCV test centre, so the PB training bus is quite often seen around Blackpool and Lytham St Annes practicing the test routes. If Kirkham's fully booked, then the next nearest PCV test centre is Atherton.

Not bad! It was working the 35 on Friday which I found surprising, because the school it normally works to had an inset day. This was about 12am.
