Does anyone know which preserved line was used in this episode. It was filmed in the winter of 1979 & the Cornish scenes were at Cape Cornwall. Palin arrives in what appears to be some kind of GWR directors saloon attached to another GWR coach & hauled by I think a 14xx. The station looks GWR too. The station has a single bay line too with a platform either side. I am guessing at what was then called the Dart Valley railway or possibly the Severn Valley.Any ideas? The next episode Golden Gordon was filmed near Saltaire & definitely shows a brief shot of the K&WV rly but this one looked far to GWR.

It's Staverton on what was then the Dart Valley Railway now the South Devon. The brief scene in Golden Gordon was the Worth Valley.
