Preserved diesels passing through Doncaster.

Hi. I live just south of Doncaster station. At 15.49 today I looked out of my window to see a string of preserved diesels coming off the Sheffield line and heading north through doncaster. I had no chance to grab the binoculars so I just wondered if anyone could give me any info on this consist please? Where they came from, where they were going and the identities of them. The consist was as follows: 66761 hauling a blue 27, a green 37, a blue (I think) 31 and a grey 56. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

The convoy move had a few steps, with 66761 running 0Z61 Doncaster Roberts Road to Ruddington (Great Central North) to collect 31162 http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O11503/2015/07/16/advanced
Then it ran as 0Z62 to Leicester to collect 56098 http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O11504/2015/07/16/advanced

The convoy is for a diesel gala at the Wensleydale Railway.

Although it sounds like the 26 won't be seeing use this weekend, update on the Wensleydale Railway website.

Unfortunately the 26 that was due to appear at the gala has had a technical issue on the way to Wensleydale and will no longer be appearing. Diagrams will be rescheduled and the timetables will be updated as soon as possible.

Many thanks for all replies. The info on the Wensleydale Railway gala is interesting. As I am a carer for my housebound wife I don't get out and about like I used to, so I tend to lose track of what's happening, when and where. Also, the loco's identities are really welcome thanks. 66761 seems to have had a right little run around today, starting off from Roberts Road which is just visible from our window.
