I couldn't find any threads that covered this topic so hoping to start one now, the aim being to highlight any events where preserved buses may be in service.

Large rallies and running days are well covered on the Classic Buses website https://classicbuses.co.uk/++Events-diary.html

but smaller events may be going under the radar.

In particular details of preserved railways where bus connections are planned and reports of past runnings.

Yesterday I paid a visit to The Northampton & Lamport Rly where the Northampton Transport Heritage group were running a very useful hourly service to & from Northampton rail station.

Vehicles used in rotation were:

Northampton 154 Daimler CVG6/NCB
Northampton 267 Daimler CVG6/Roe
United Counties Olympian H654VVV

The Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB) often use their heritage fleet to provide free shuttle/park and ride buses to local events around Winchester as part of community engagement. Such events usually include the annual Watercress Festival in Alresford, Littleton & Harestock Show and Stockbridge Trout N About Food Festival.

The Aldershot & District Omnibuses Rescue & Restoration Society (ADORRS) usually provide one of their vehicles for free shuttle bus services between the local railway station and model railway exhibition at both the annual Alton and Basingstoke shows. They also run a monthly free bus service between the Watercress Line station at Alresford and village of Bishops Sutton (days highlighted orange on the Watercress Line’s timetable). Although the latter is aimed at Watercress passengers, it is free to be used by anyone.

Similarly, the Southampton & District Transport Heritage Trust (S&DTHT) usually provide vehicles for a similar service linking Eastleigh and Southampton Airport Parkway stations with the model railway exhibition held annually in Eastleigh.
