Been reading the latest issue of Express and there was an article about preserving Southern Region stock.
Apparently a 4 SUB (Class 405) unit is undergoing restoration to possible working order.
Plus Northumbria Rail have acquired a pair of 5 WES (Class 442) for preservation working with a former Mark 3 buffet.
What other preserved Southern Region trains are due to be restored for Railtours I'd love to know.

Rather than starting a new thread there’s a comprehensive list of what’s still around below that would save on duplication.
