i have pre-booked a super-off peak return ticket, with specific train times.

i haven't got a seat reserved, but on my order details there are specific train times.

will i have to get the train at the time specified in the pre-booking, or can i use any train valid for super-off peak times?

pretty confused!

As it isn't an advance type of ticket but a super-off peak, as long as you travel on a train that valid for super-off peak travel you will be fine.

I've you've booked them online, you'll need to specify train times so the website can sell you the appropriate ticket for the times you want to travel. With a Super Off Peak ticket, you're not bound to specific trains and you have some flexibility in when you can travel. However, there will be restrictions on when you can travel Monday to Fridays in the morning and the evening. (Weekends and public holidays have no restrictions)
