Hi guys, posting in here as not sure if it quite fits into the main ticket forum.

I'm travelling from Prague to Vienna on Monday 19th September with a friend. We'll both be 24 at the time of travel and was wondering if anyone has any idea as to where to buy tickets from? They show up as €29/€39 2nd/1st class on the Austrian railways website, but then aren't actually purchasable from what I've managed to look at so far. The date is fixed and we don't have a bahncard and its a one off journey so I don't think an interrail pass is a viable option.

Thanks.

I had the same issue with Budapest - Vienna tickets a year or two ago. I telephoned the OEBB call centre and booked the tickets over the telephone. There'll be someone who speaks English and if memory serves they posted the tickets to me in the UK. Other delivery options may also be available.

Thanks for the replies guys. The tickets show on the Austrian Rail website, but when you actually go to book them it says they cannot be generated online. I've had a look at Rail Europe and they're showing about £130 for two tickets atm. This leads to me asking 185, can you remember roughly how much they cost on the day?

how far did you get through the booking process? I got as far as the screen on which to input my credit card details.

My IP is dutch (despite me being in Munich) so I doubt your IP being british? is likely to be the problem

I have booked international journeys on the Obb website before, i.e. Ulm-Vienna & Salzburg-Venice without problems

I never actually got as far being able to enter credit card details. I select the tickets at €29, then continue, enter two adults, without any form of reduction and that I'd be paying by mastercard, continue on that page to then be greeted by the next page telling me "No Online Tickets can be created from Czech Republic to Austria. For further enquiries, please make a note of your order number 34880858". I'm now a bit confused and will probably end up phoning them!

Thanks, I'll give them a ring later on in the month, as it would appear I can only book 60 days in advance.
