Possible SAS crisis

According to the news, the SAS are having a recruitment crisis because they're not getting enough high quality people applying AND because solidiers elsewhere in the army simply do not have time to go through the selection procedures (6 months worth of pure physical and mental pain) due to committments elsewhere. The SAS are one of the few things that we have left that makes me proud to be British; in my opinion, they are the best in the world. How sad the government's of the day, yet again, appear to be draining this country dry of 'Britishness'. Sad

I agree with you, the SAS are the embodiment of our professionalism and power. We need them for deniable ops (it often appears that our media are working for the enemy, not us!) to protect these borders

Its really unfortunate, we really do need the SAS to do the stuff the regulars are too scared to do, they are the true meaning of being British the Nelsonian spirit (an unshaking belief in your own invincibility) they are the dogs danglies its a real shame to see them in a recruitment crisis, if i thought I could get through the selection i would be there like a shot, ive got massive respect the guys that have done service in the SAS, guys like Chris Ryan who still holds the record for the longest active escape and evasion.
