We know that TfL's subsidiary was granted the contract to create the Pay As You Go (PAYG) system in southeast England by the Department for Transport (DfT).
With this opportunity, do you think there's an opportunity for the single fare, daily capping of TfL and National Rail (Great British Railway) in south-east England can be integrated, to allow easier payment of fares by one card and also to achieve the goal of removing day travelcard proposed by TfL?

Yes, but it will not surprise me if the only daily capping is Zone 1 centric. The application of Contactless to the route to Reading would appear to be the likely model. As far as I can tell journeys outside Zone 6 are not capped and special extension fares apply to ensure that Contactless does not undercut the Travelcard fare.

The whole point is to allow the London Contactless system to be used over the wider area.

That may not necessarily be the case, as what GTR Keygo has done is to limit the daily capping of fares paid not exceeding Anytime / Off-Peak return fare between any two stations. TfL may need to replicate that to meet DfT's requirement?

Another interesting question will be: Would SE England get a new smartcard or just contactless (with TfL's mind of adding railcard discount into contactless payment already)?
