Possible hack or bug on forum?

Keep getting pop ups saying 'you have a new message'

Bit annoying, not a clue what it is!

Is it because you have a new message?

You can turn it off in your user cp here by unticking the box that says "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up"

If it's not a message I'm not sure

Look in the top right corner of the screen; you should see something like this:

You last visited: Yesterday at 23:39
Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 87

That's where your messages are.
