Hi,

I am travelling from Brighton tomorrow and after todays disruption, I expect tomorrow won't be much better.

Anyway my journey is an Advanced ticket from Brighton to Bury St Edmunds, but the only "advanced" (ie reserved) part of the ticket is the 1355 Liverpool St to Ipswich.

So, it is my responsibility to get to Liverpool Street for 1355 as other parts aren't reserved, or just get to Brighton at 1204 as planned?

I imagine getting there for 1204 and end up being delayed in Brighton for 50 mins or so and having a knock on effect etc! (Although might allow me to go Vic >> Kings X >> Camb >> BSE instead :) ! )

You only need to arrive at the station in time for the first train of your itinerary. If you arrive in time to catch that, and are delayed causing you to missed your booked train from London to Ipswitch then you will be perimtted to take the next available train.
