They're fine if you're in a coach with an engine out. Although the engine hum can help drown ipod earphone noise this and the attendant vibration is the last thing you need on a long journey. The windows put the 390's to shame and with larger luggage racks, re-alined seats and most importantly transformer coaches it could be an acceptable inter-regional train.

You would actually be better off travelling in a class 222, rather than a 220/221 as someone has previously mentioned the class 222 seems to have more legroom.

Seats are good in the Priotry one in one now :)

But the Resvation system is yet again broken :s <( But free wi-fi is slightly good :). But can see this service be a pain later in the journey after Crewe etc.

Some people may thing the XC ones inability to use your mobile on board is positive. No wifi either on XC.
