Could I ask are there any viewing areas for the depot at Entroncamento, Ive only seen it from the train, Im not sure what the Portuguese are like for shed visits if you just turn up and ask, any information would be most welcome, Ill be visiting the museum at Entroncamento in two weeks time, thank you.

For this case, the best approach is to contact the railway company stating your intentions. If you manage to find the contact of anyone responsible for the workshop through LinkedIn or Microsoft365 you might have a higher chance of having a positive reply in return.

Alternatively, you can also contact the railway museum ahead of time, to see if they can help you fix a contact or a visit to the workshops.

Mind that the workshops are in an active and dangerous area, unsuitable for ordinary visitors, so a visit is usually uninsured unless they have a bookable open day.

For the museum, if you arriving by train, show the train ticket on entry and you should get a reduced rate....well I did in 2023 anyway.
