I got a wave from the Police as I came into various stations yesterday. Do they always wave at train drivers?

They quite often wave, yes.
Certainly BTP will I imagine, as they'd see it as all working in the same industry to all intents and purposes. I always wave to drivers, although not Police I do wear a Hi-Viz and a hat...In my eyes, I see it as we're all colleagues. :roll:
Freight train drivers are the worst for ignoring me though, although you also get some passenger train drivers that are like that, too. Usually the miserable, millitant ex-BR ones (no offence intended to ex-BR guys
