Hello,

I understand that there used to be a couple of freights that came across from Poland to the UK courtesy of DB, and that these were the only freight services to use the High Speed line to London. Do these trains still run? And if so, would anyone happen to know the route they take across Germany/Belgium/France? Perhaps Koln - Aachen - Liege - Lille?

I doubt Poland - London traffic would come any other way than Koln - Aachen - Brussels - Lille

Though West of Aachen it would take the freight route via Montzen to avoid the 1 in 40-ish on the main line (and the 1-in-40 at Liege).

A lot of traffic from S Poland (Silesia...) to Germany comes across at Horka (still diesel) and then heads on the secondary routes either towards Magdeburg or Nordhausen

Of course, I forgot about that line. There is a great spot as it comes down from Aachen towards Drielanden punt to photograph that route.

Thanks for the information on the route, but can anybody tell me if that train still runs?
