Liverpool South Parkways main purpose being to serve as an bus/rail interchange for Liverpool Airport
I know, I live right by it. Was just wondering about the name.

Is Bodmin Parkway the only one of these stations that had already existed forever (well over 100 years) and just got renamed? Bodmin Road was its previous name, and it always will be for me!
I think Tiverton Parkway was built on the old site for Sampford Peverell? If not Tiverton Junction?
South Liverpool Parkway always intrigued me. The car park isn't massive, it is however a largish modern interchange.
It is on the site of Sampford Peverell which closed 22 years before Tiverton Parkway opened. Tiverton Junction was at the loops just further towards Exeter and was closed when Tiverton Parkway opened. You can see the old platforms for Tiverton Junction at the loops.
Southampton Airport Parkway puzzles me, the name would suggest it would be away from the airport, and requiring a bus link (i.e. Luton Airport), but the airport terminal is pretty much right next door to the exit.
The car-park isn't that big either (unless you count the airport parking area)
It's a fairly new station so I guess Merseyrail/Merseytravel still expect to see growth in the coming years. At some point they will probably just extend the car park. Chiltern did the same thing with Warwick Parkway and Haddenham & Thame Parkway in recent years, both stations now sport multi storey car parks which weren't' there when the stations opened for business.
The station, not the village! (No idea why I felt like saying that!) Must admit, didn't know that, might have a look next time I catch a train from there (which isn't that often these days...).And if you look in the undergrowth of the down platform at Tiverton Parkway you can still see the remains of Sampford Peverall. Obviously easier in winter.
I think you need to actually have some local knowledge of the area Bristol Parkway serves. It not only allows for residents in north Bristol and South Gloucestershire to access the area by car or on foot, but is in the Northern Fringe which is really one of the key powerhouses of the local area with thousands of jobs - much more than your bog standard business park which this most certainly is not! Whilst the car parking provision has recently been massively expanded, access on foot on a large scale is still definitely possible thanks to the offices and homes nearby; 35% of people walk to the station, certainly much more than a "few."
That is a good point but there isn't much space to extend the car parking at South Parkway unless they go up, and even then it would be a very small multiple level car park.
There are 311 spaces in the car park at the moment as far as I can tell. Just looking at satellite photographs it seems there is space for a multi storey in the main car park even if it doesn't have a footprint the same size as what is already there. If they make it three or four decks then they might be able to get to 600-700 spaces fairly easily.

Good road access from the motorway is Southampton Airport Parkways main point i'd say. It used to be called Southampton Parkway (for Southampton Airport), but was renamed in 1994. Presumably to make it more obvious its at the Airport.
It isn't a new station, it's just a new building.
The original station, or more accurately stations, have been there for many years.
The platforms on the AC lines were previously called Allerton and those on the DC lines Garston.
The new building links the two old stations together.
