Hi all,

What would be the cheapest way to get from Plymouth to Weymouth on Saturday, 19th July? I'd like to arrive in Weymouth between 1100 and 1300, and leave Weymouth later than 1730. Thanks in advance.

Assuming no relevant Railcard, www.trainsplit.com suggests catching
  • 0747 Plymouth - Castle Cary 0939. 0953 Castle Cary - Weymouth 1057 or 0933 Plymouth - Castle Cary 1123. 1304 Castle Cary - Weymouth 1408.
  • 1728 Weymouth - Castle Cary 1836. 1841 Castle Cary - Plymouth 2035 or 1828 Weymouth - Castle Cary 1933. 2044 Castle Cary - Plymouth 2243.
usingTotal £38.20, saving £11.80 on the lowest price through ticket. (That ticket would also require changing between stations at Yeovil.)

So this split WOULDN'T require changing between Junction and Pen Mill?
