Being disturbed by the noise of what sounds like a pump or a compressor every night until about 1.30 - 2am, then it starts again around 6 and seems to run all day.
Can't be positive it emanates from the station but it seems to, had a walk around there last night but no one around to ask, noise did seem to be coming from the station though, there are FGW premises there apart from he Station itself, and I wonder if (a) anyone else can hear it, and (b) if we know anything about it or who to speak to.

Thanks

Ps it's nice when it stops at 2am

If you have twitter speak to FGW about it. If you don't then email them.

Your other local residents have already raised the issue with the council and meetings have taken place between FGW and the council.

Thanks for your replies much appreciated. I reported the matter to plymouth environmental health, and I visited the station and spoke to one of the duty managers. Both helpful.
Would be grateful for any further details.

Have now identified this noise as Diesel loco engine noise. Does anyone have any idea why a driver would want to run his/her engine all night, or for hours on end during the day?
