OK I will state it more clearly then. My strong impression was that the staff didn't know what they were looking at, and just assumed it was valid. They didn't ask me for more information, and I wasn't about to open any cans of worms.

I've sent a message and ticket screenshot to TrainSplit customer services about Kent Fastrack (Go-Ahead London) Ticketers rejecting my Greenhithe PlusBus eTicket yesterday. Thankfully drivers on all four services that I used accepted it without quibble.

No apologies needed. From reading this thread it's clear how much you guys at TrainSplit have been involved in sorting out the various validation deficiencies ePlusBus has been / is being hampered by for the past year or so.

Does anybody here know whether the PlusBus ticket works on the "Walk & Ride" bus in Lincoln
There is the Steep Hill route which is the scenic way to reach the cathedral from the city centre, but due to my wife's long covid, this may not be too good, so a bus option may be a better bet.

The other option for Lincoln is to get one of the local Stagecoach buses from the bus station which is just across from the train station, and then get off at the Lincoln Hotel bus stop - it's around the corner from the main entrance to the cathedral but it's about a 3-5 minute walk on level ground.
Routes-wise, it's the 7, 8, 12 and 17 that regularly stop outside the Lincoln Hotel.

Ticketer confirm should begin working tomorrow following a key update.
First experience of PlusBus e-tickets today in Brentwood
Used on four buses
- First Essex route 9: scanned ticket on Ticketer but not recognised. I asked the driver if it was ok and he shook his head but let me travel
- NIBSbuses 565 - when shown ticket driver asked if it was a First ticket but when I said no it was linked to a train ticket and he was happy with that
- First Essex route 9 - accepted on cursory visual inspection without problems.
- NIBSbuses 61 - accepted without quibble by cheerful driver

Travelled with a TrainSplit-issued Reading PlusBus eTicket on Carousel Buses yesterday and it worked just fine. More significantly it also worked on the TransMach TM700s that Reading Buses use, corroborating Adam's post from December last year.
The passenger-facing display on TM700s doesn't change, but an affirmative two-tone indicates a successful scan. The driver-facing display specifically mentions PlusBus when it happens (no idea if Ticketers do the same).

I've bought an ePlusbus ticket through the real-time trains site for Stirling and the barcode came up as not accepted for the Midland Bluebird Unlink service. The is no mention on
https://www.plusbus.info/stirling the the Unlink isn't allowed. Ticketer ticket machines. Driver grudgingly allowed us onas they sometimes aren't accepted. Having kids with the Under 22 pass possibly helped.

We need more information to share this with Ticketer (though bustimes.org doesn't have vehicle info for this operator).
I boarded the rattly single decker just before sending that message at Stirling station heading towards the university.
I'm fairly certain it was the vehicle in the screenshot from the Midland Bluebird app (assuming is one of the two still on the route).

1909 in the Unlink from Stirling university to the city centre vehicle 8937 Midland Bluebird had the barcode not accepted error too. Driver waved us on.

I don't think Vix support validating PlusBus at all, unfortunately (ironic given that they can issue it for LNER!) - so it is never going to work on Stagecoach.

Thanks, i thought that was the case as i have never had a successful scan on a vix machine with Stagecoach before.
Plusbus was accepted after 30 seconds are driver scrolling through my phone.

Definitely call them, I visited Lincoln a bit back, never actually saw said coach, and when didn't turn up when timetabled, I rang them and was told "He's having his lunch" !

Yes, the ZoneCard. It's not available as a paper or barcode ticket though; you need one of these Scottish-issue smartcards to make use of it:

With Cambridge South open today, I naturally marked the occasion with a ticket to Cambridge North. 
(North's zone includes the busway up to St Ives, "Central's" doesn't, and South's doesn't exist. Not to mention the extra 2 stops from Hitchin were essentially free.)
Despite the confusing differences I travelled to Fen Drayton Lakes and back on the Stagecoach B without issue (no scans attempted). No quibble on the Whippet U1/U2 either (no scan on the latter) but my scan on the former was rejected; going by Adam's reply to my query via TrainSplit app Whippet are basically doing an Ipswich Buses, i.e. expressing no interest whatsoever in having their Ticketers configured to validate ePlusBus. Ironic given Cambridge was part of the June 2024 trial.
As suggested I'll also send messages to Whippet / Traveline and see what they say.

Over the weekend we had a query from a customer trying to scan their ticket on Adventure Travel in Swansea. This was escalated to Ticketer with details provided by the customer, and the configuration was updated today. Scans on this operator should work from tomorrow.

Is there any plan to make a more concerted effort to get scanning to work, beyond "wait for someone to complain about a specific operator, then fix it for that specific operator only (while leaving other operators broken)" ?
This is hardy an ideal way of doing things if the industry expects passengers to use e-tickets and be confident that they will work properly.

Not that I've heard, unfortunately. RDG consider the whole thing a done deal if you read their press release.

RDG deems it a done deal despite the fact that there's so few TOCs and 3rd party retailers supporting Plusbus e-tickets? This has to be one of the worst 'done deals' ever surely?
I can't help but feel that Trainsplit should be the custodian of Plusbus as the team seem to have done more for Plusbus than Traveline or RDG has ever done.
