Plusbus season tickets

Are there any towns/cities where it is cheaper to buy a rail season ticket with plusbus added than the standard multi-operator equivalent bus ticket? Given that there are plenty of locations where no multi-operator tickets are available does anyone actually use it as one? Eg in Guildford there is no multi-operator bus ticket but by buying a weekly season ticket from Shalford and adding on plus bus you can have a multi-operator ticket for around £30 a week. Not a good example as its expensive but its one I have to hand.

It certainly works for me in Crawley, even though my bus stop is only a short hop fare from the station. Seems to work on other buses, but Metrobus offers 90% of the services. Free travel in Crawley on buses on weekends and days off is a nice bonus.

it's cheaper in Milton Keynes, Plusbus costs £35 for a month, Arriva only 4 weeks costs £48 or £43.20 if purchased on a smartphone. The Plusbus ticket price hasn't changed in at least 18 months whereas the arriva one has at least twice. Also, the Arriva ticket used to be valid on other operators but isn't anymore

Technically a Plusbus has to be purchased in conjunction with another ticket. The OP was asking whether a combination of the two (ie. a rail season and a plusbus season) was ever cheaper than just the town's bus pass. Else we will probably have all (barring a possible handful) locations mentioned!

Arriva Weekly Bus Ticket (Wales area): £17

Weekly Season Llandudno Junction - Glan Conwy: £5.50
Weekly Plusbus Llandudno & Llandudno Junction: £10.60
Train+Bus combination: £16.10

The day ticket prices also favour the Plusbus combination (£1.30 single +£2.20 = £3.50) over the bus day ticket (£5). It has to be admitted that the geographic validity of the bus ticket is far greater than that of the Plusbus ticket. Oh, and if you hold a railcard....
