Anyone know the effect of Plusbus delays.

I used a Plusbus ticket to get to mainline station. Journey should have taken 13 mins. It took 24 mins. Plus departure was delayed by 17 mins. The consequence was that I missed my train for which I had an Advance ticket.

Is it just hard luck?

Or (1) can I used the Advance ticket on a later train and (2) can I claim compensation for the delay?

You are left to fend for yourself unfortunately.

As I thought. It was academic since the train I got on (same company) was further delayed, which meant I missed another connection. So taxi arranged by train company, that got me home only 10 mins late. Non-stop taxi vs stopping rural train. Amazing!

So your delay was 10 minutes because the TOC got you a taxi, and you are wondering if you can claim compensation?

As you say, amazing...

To me it sounds like the first post was made before he got the taxi, and then the update came after he had been given a taxi.
