I know for a small fee, passengers can have this supplement added to their tickets where they can have unlimited bus travel at their destination.

Now would staff be able to have the same supplement added onto their staff passes, paying the same costs of course or is that simply not possible?

Refer to this recent topic: http://railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=24278

In short the answer is no, Plusbus tickets can only be sold with the ticket types listed in the thread above.

PlusBus is available at full rate when bought with any priv-rate ticket.

So Oxford Road - Piccadilly PRIV is valid to get a PlusBus ticket;)

They are bl**dy good value though. The Chesterfield ticket is £2 but a single from Chesterfield to Bolsover is £2.80!

Bit offtopic but..
I've seen people get away with Arriva/First/NatEx privs on buses before, just showing their pass :o

I am sure that if you work for first great western then you can also get free travel on any buses which are operated by first group and i thinks its the same for other companies.

For information purposes I must disagree with this comment. Manchester PlusBus tickets should NOT be sold from a station in Greater Manchester, presumably because of the 'system one' cards that are available.

A Manchester PLUSBUS ticket is NOT valid for travel on the Manchester MetroLink (tram network).

____________________________________________

Your origin OR destination rail station MUST be outside the Greater Manchester PTE area in order to buy a Manchester PLUSBUS ticket.

The same applies for Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Stalybridge, and Wigan PlusBus tickets. I do not know of it applying to any other PlusBus fares.

The same applies in the west yorks metro area. Travel must start or finish outside the area to get plusbus.

Also the West Mids and South Yorkshire have this restriction. It does not apply to the Tyne & Wear and Strathclyde PTEs.

That doesn't apply to PlusBus tickets bought for Greater Bristol (although the Greater Bristol area is covered by different schemes - Bristol, Bath and Weston-s-Mare).
