Plus Bus fares

[Mcr Warrior]

Hello,

Are PlusBus through fares still available?

Tried to look up Urmston to Liverpool Plus Bus on BR Fares but it came up as no fares available. http://www.brfares.com/#!fares?orig=URM&dest=J099

Yes. Plus bus is issued as a separate add on. Try from Liverpool To Liverpool Plus Bus and you will get the fare you need.

No, PlusBus nowadays must always be issued as a separate ticket.

Indeed plus bus is available but the correct way to issue would be:

Urmston to Liverpool stations - issue as normal.
Liverpool stations to Liverpool+Bus, issue PlusBus ticket.

It's not just you, I've had to tell rail staff how to issue it as well.

For the sake of completeness, as Urmston is in TfGM territory you could also have a Manchester PlusBus if desired, though this would need to be issued as Manchester Stns to Manchester+Bus (NLC J819) as it's impractical to have separate PlusBus pseudo-destinations for every station in the area.
