Plus bus and other day tickets in PTE areas

[Ken H]

I am going to Leeds soon. I want a plus bus ticket. (£4 for all of west Yorks buses for the day for £4 on top of the return rail fare)
Can i get one from the guard if I board at an unstaffed station? It will be a northern train.

Also can I get a West Yorks train and bus day ticket from a guard if I board at an unstaffed station? I think not but to be sure....

but feel free to discuss any day ticketing stuff in PTE areas.....

You should be able to get a plusbus off the guard (assuming you are travelling from outside the West Yorkshire area). If not you should be able to get one from the ticket office at Leeds on arrival by presenting your rail ticket.

Not sure on the train and bus day ticket.

The bus and train tickets used to be printed on dedicated stock, so I would personally buy it from the station at Leeds. That way there’s no confusion on buses as to what your ticket is or its (perceived) validity.
