Now are you counting physical platforms or using Platform 4 as an example as 4 separate platforms (4, 4a, 4b, 4c)?

Not counting a, b and c as separate its something like 16 isn't it off, just off the top of my head from going there but I may be wrong!
Going by that figure, splitting them into separate letters plus the whole platform I would say 49 as every platform is split into a and b with only 4 having a c and being the only bay platform at New Street...
