I'm planning a very small railway (to live on top of a shelf unit, so not very big).

Many years ago I had those Hornby "track pieces" where you could work out what'd work at a smaller scale before building it...

...then, I had that Hornby CD Rom, but can't find it...

So, does anyone know of any tools for working out what kind of layouts I could build in a fixed space? (other than getting out my old maths kit and doing scale drawings by hand)

I used the free trial of Anyrail and a Fair chunk on MS Paint to design my layout:

What theme will it be? Anyways when I move out of my "council" property (which probably won't be for ages) I might start a LEGO LU style Model Railway
