After visiting Penzance, Lowestoft and Wick this year I thought it’s only fair I go to Arisaig as well.
I’m travelling from Shropshire to Euston to catch the Sleeper up to Fort William. Just for the hell of it and to say I’ve done it.
From Fort William I’m going out to Mallaig for a couple of days, whilst there I hope to retrace my steps and get to Arisaig, the most westerly railway station in the Uk.
Coming home will be via the Stranear line, with two nights in Girvan. I’m thinking the Ayr Station situation is going to cause a headache, but we’ll have to work round it.
On the final day I’m hoping to travel down the Cumbrian Coast back down to Crewe.

I suppose the point of my post is, does anyone have an tips, particularly for the sleeper train, pointers or anything I should ensure I see whilst I’m up there. Many thanks
