When 2 (or more) trains scheduled to depart in the same minute, how are those trains sorted.

The reason I ask is that I was at Halifax earlier. There are 2 trains scheduled to depart at 1341; a Leeds-Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury, and its return working.

The weird bit is that about every minute, the two trains swapped order on the main departure display board. Which seemed to be very odd behaviour. Neither service had departed its origin, so all seemed a bit weird.

If a sort order isn't specified or two values in the sort field are the same, then a typical SQL database will return the results in a random order, thus giving rise to this flip flopping.

Seems a bit odd not to specify a secondary sort value if the primary value is the same (such as Destination or Platform number) to avoid them swapping around.
