See this video, some pirates, trying to hijack a commercial liner accidentally go for a French navy ship.

You've just made two posts that completely contradict each other. In fact, that post alone contradicts itself.
You say that it's ok for them to steal because they're poor and desparate, but at the same time, if someone poor and desparate steals from you, it's not ok.

Which is your opinion? Or are things like theft ok so long as they don't affect you?

Poor or not violent crime is never good, these pirates are dangerous and are more than just poor folks trying too get money for food, they spend the money on guns and other weapons and it is quite likely that this piracy could be funding terrorism, there's no doubt this is political, after all on of the hijacked ships was carrying battle tanks
