The planned removal of 600+ members of station staff will only exacerbate these kinds of situations.
If 600 members of staff are currently seen as surplus, why are stations now having to be closed for staff shortage; doesn't seem to tie up.
The cuts are to be achieved by removing vacancies and not replacing retirees.
It’s probably got at least as much to do with the fact that Pimlico is famously the only Victoria Line station that has no interchange either with another underground or overground line (which was apparently why the original plans omitted it and it was added later - after a campaign led by a local worthy whose name is commemorated on a plaque above the entrance from Lupus Street). So closing it is less complicated than for other stations on the line.I'm told that within each group of stations on the Victoria line, they close the one with the lowest number of passengers. At the south end that's Pimlico and the north end it's Blackhorse Rd. Though both have massive footfall by most standards

I've been caught out twice in very short succession recently, and it is a relatively significant delay, a 10-15 minute journey on the Victoria is doubled in length. Hence why I started this thread!
