If there is any money to throw around at the Avonmouth area I would rather it spent bringing Pilning back to life.

It’s walking distance from the massive distribution site that has grown up just west of M49 and I suspect would be very helpful in enabling those without a car access what must now be a very significant employment area.

To illustrate the above for those unfamiliar with the area, there's a large number of distribution depots that are, as the crow flies, around a mile or a little more from Pilning station. Obviously there would need to be a more direct route from the station, and maybe a shuttle bus - unfortunately the developers seem reluctant to fund any infrastructure changes, as evidenced by the motorway junction (that the government funded) remains unused four years after it was built as the developers haven't put their hands in their pockets to link it to the site.
