I've just posted my latest contribution on the Pilatus zahnradbahn which details the line's posters from the start of electrification in the 1930s to the present day. This is the second part of a mini series the first which was here.
Some will know the line is getting new trains built by Stadler as well as huge mods including new track layouts (inc replacement of two of the line's track transfers with flip over track switches) & new platforms and accessibility lifts etc - which will be the subject of another article. The work's been delayed considerably because of COVID however one such train has been on trial since 2021 and this year will likely see some new Stadler built trains work alongside the classic 1930s railcars. By 2023 the line should be fully operated by the new stock which will achieve transit times of twenty minutes instead of the current thrity.
