235. For some reason this has to be the lead car and going to T5 otherwise she doesn't say it.What is the train number that still has this announcement?
And if there is an extended gap in T5 trains, it is quicker to stay on the T4. Better to be informed of the option all of the time and need it rarely, than be stuck at Hatton Cross waiting for a T5 train as you mistakenly got off a T4 with the high impact effects of a delay to the airport. For instance, if a T5 train is 10 min behind the T4 train, it's faster to change at Hatton Cross than to ride the loop, given trains wait approx. 8 min at T4.
True, but such occasions are rare, so on the balance of providing the best customer information, I'd still argue it's not worth appending 2&3 on the T4 announcements. It provides too much confusion to airport goers who may take it not realising they're going to come unstuck with the 8-min wait at T4 (on top of the time taken riding the loop). And if there is an extended gap in T5 trains, it is quicker to stay on the T4.
