Phone interview. HELP!

Hi
I've just heard I have a phone interview for an ATW drivers job.
Has anyone done one recently? What can I expect?
Is it someone from Arriva you speak to or a third party ?
Any advice would be very welcome!

I did one a few years ago and was things like "what did I know about the company?", "why did I want to be a driver?", "tell me about a time when I delivered a good customer experience?" "What do you think would make a good driver?"

I really wasn't prepared for the questions as the interview was described as an informal chat, however, I winged it and passed (still not quite sure how). Good luck

Hi Gareth. Good luck with your interview tomorrow.I have applied for Crewe but have to wait until Jan 2017 now to see if I make the shortlist so would be interested to here how you get on and what they ask you.

Well that was interesting.

It went quite well (I think).
The most difficult question is 'Why do you want to be a train driver?'
Go on, answer that!
Also they asked 'what research have you done?'
Here they seem to want to know what you've tried to find out from where rather than what you actually learnt.
Also they asked who in the industry you've spoken to about being a driver.

I've no idea how it went but I'll hear at the end of the week.
