Apple is considered to be fairer than some manufacturers because they update older models for longer (something Google has now got Android makers to agree to do - for 18 months after launch), so when Apple added the new features on iOS, like multitasking, they offered it to older models too.

Apple is often late to enter the game with new features, but it simply waits until it's working perfectly for one, and easy to market for two. They'll create profiles of people who can use/enjoy the features, and create situations where you can use them. The advertising, and the launches, are as clever as the products (well, actually - more so).

It's great that a company like Samsung can intro a new feature, but often it's a bit of tech that's ready for something that hasn't taken off yet or isn't fully finished (whether that's a new standard for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or NFC). Fine for early adopters who will wait, but no good for Apple.

I've been to John Lewis today and they have two Android tablets that are far better specified than the iPad 2, but one is already being discounted. The iPad still has people looking and enquiring about stock levels (assuming they're still hard to get hold of).

Got a samsung galazy on 02 pay as you go. Brilliant phone that allows me to checking the progress of my train as well as finding where i am and getting directions. Also allows me to watch documentaries or to play games as well as taking photos and video's when i am out trainspotting and the batteries in my digital camera die.

My brother had to borrow it a couple of weeks ago and so put his sim card in when i had it back however, the phone would not pick up a signal anywhere when it would before.

Took it back to 02 who said to try a new sim , and still doesnt work. i am taking it back to the shop to complain about it tommorow.

Shame really as it is a brilliant phone and apart from not picking up a signal everything works.

I am hoping 02 will sort the problem out as i would not like to purchase another phone since the only reason 1 bought this from my brother was because work gave him a free phone on contract.
