PHBT near Middlesbrough

Just seen a report on facebook that a PHBT has happened near middlesbrough. thoughts go out to families of both the driver and other person involved. subsequently there are no trains out of middlesbrough towards nunthorpe and beyond, all ather services ar terminating at middlesbrough.


further to the above the incident happend approx 2/3 hours ago. emergency services are said to be still on scene.

I'm sorry to hear this. Apparently it occurred at approximately 1520. There was also an incident at Petts Wood at around 1130 - much further South, of course. I can see nothing on NRE about the incident near Middlesbrough and not much on JourneyCheck either, by the looks of things. Not terribly good customer information, there!

This maybe a suicide. 'Official' Information says person was kneeling in bushes and emerged as the train approached.
