I've a dog, 4 year old Border Collie that we've had since she was 10 weeks old. She's a real part of the family, very clever as well.

We lost our black Labrador a few years ago, aged 10. A wonderful dog with a fantastic temperament, and great fun. I hope one day to get another Lab, but it isn't practical at the moment.

We currently have a cat, who is extremely mad and a little aggressive. It's fine, just so long as you don't value your extremities  I'm sure (or rather, I hope) he'll calm down one day.

Finally, we've got a few fish in the pond. Used to have a lovely selection, but the Ghost Koi have finished most of them off, and so now we have a tench (that we can't see) and some Ghost Koi.

We used to have tropical marine fish but had not any more.

We have 6 Chinchillas now. Used to have 8 but sold a couple. They are wonderful little things and cute. Absolutely full of energy as well.:)

I have six cats and five chickens.

The chooks produce eggs, the cats are supposed to keep mice away, but fail dismally.

The cats have a netted area about 60' by 30' outside, as I back on to the bush, and don't want them bringing home lizards or little birdies.

There is also a fat, 18" long blue tongue lizard who lives under the house of his own accord, a fair sign that there are no snakes nearby.

Any of the female posters on here care to admit to owning a Rabbit !

I have a rabbit.

We also have two cats that belong to my housemate.

This is Felix. He gets excited when the Felix cat appears on tele.

Also have a black and white cat. Mind you, in a "greenest eyes contest" your cat would win hands down!

Also glad to see that the cat seems to be the most popular pet on this forum!

There is no option for more than one type of pet... ;)

Mick
You mean there's no option to do multiple choice anymore? When I set it up originally you could. Can someone else confirm this; if so I'll try and get it sorted out.

My Dad's sister has a cat called Korky as well, and he looks just like yours! :)

Unfortunately, Korky was shot a few months ago and has never been allowed out since. He lost a lot of blood and had to go on medication, though the vets did their work and he pulled through. Two of the shotgun pellets remain lodged in his head, and they can't be removed in case he attains brain damage. :(

Some people are evil.

I'm suprised no-one has a bird of some species.

Cat seems to be the most popular pet so far.

In my opinion anyone found guilty of animal cruelty should receive quite a simple sentence. Whatever they have done to the animal they should have done to them

My daughter told me in the news a couple of weeks ago was a story of 6 year old children who were kicking a cat into the road so it would get run over.

I hope they are never allowed to have any pets

It's a disgusting act. However perhaps it reflects more the parents than the children.

[sarcasm] But that would be a human rights abuse! [sarcasm]

The story about the poor cat was awful. What is wrong with this country? They may have been little children, but if they do things like that at six, then God knows what they'll be doing at sixteen.

isn't animal cruelty at a young age a well known symptom of a much worse condition. Either Psychopath or Sociopath. One or the other ?
