I don't know the reason behind the TSR but the railperf TSR listing says they are to be removed on Sunday.Just wondering if anyone knew how long the speed restrictions for the fast lines at Peterborough station will be for? Visited for a few hours the other day and all the through trains were crawling through and I noticed the speed restrictions signs up. Thanks in advance

I presume what are usually referred ro simply as ESRs - Emergency Speed Restrictions. I.e. TSRs imposed in an emergency and not advised to train crew in advance. I believe they are only denoted by trackside signage or if there hasn't been time yet to implement even that then signallers will caution trains on approach by stopping them at a red before the location of the Emergency Speed Restriction and advising drivers of it verbally. TSRs meanwhile I understand are advised to traincrew in advance.
Pretty much, yes, although they should be advised via the late notice cases as soon as possible. TSRs also become ESRs if they're made more restrictive (including after being eased), the position and/or length is changed, or they're re-imposed after being SPATEd (i.e. withdrawn).
There's no need to advise drivers verbally if all the signage is in place (including emergency indicators), even if late notice case items aren't in place or might not have been seen by drivers who have already booked on.
