I know it is petty, and in the grand scheme irrelavent but it really winds me up.

They have five different liveries that I can think of, off the top of my head.

The old blue GNER. The NXEC adapted HSTs (+91111). The EC Shiny silver. The dull grey EC. And now the FS engine and DVT.

There is no conformity to the sets (except the HSTs), so you can have blue carriages with FS engine. Or Shiny carriages with Blue Engine and DVT. And so on.

It looks awful IMO.

I wish they'd just complete the job they started and get them all in one livery. Which I expect to be the shiny silver EC. Although I personally prefer the adapted NXEC.

Are there many other operators out there who have a multitude of liveries? Scotrail (but they are in the process of saltairing their units up.

Rather pointless rant over. :roll::D

Also, there's at least one Class 91 that's painted in the new silver livery but still has the old dark blue front skirt underneath the front buffers. Looks a total mess!

Although to be fair to EC that could be to do with needing a spare part at short notice rather than just forgetting to paint it.....

it wont be shiny silver - it costs to much. It will be the "dull grey" going forward, although i dont think it is that dull tbh

Well you can take the GNER and NXEC 91's off that list - they're being repainted into the "dull" grey livery..
