Where people talk about "new style" Pertis machines, are they saying that some Tocs have a different style of machine that is modern vs the 1990s machines brought in by BR?

If so, are there some photographs as I've not seen them before and would be interested to see what they look like and what the coupons print as?

There are some green ones, and there are also some that print on thermal paper.

You can add Attenborough, Barrow upon Soar and Sileby to that list as well.

Yes can confirm Attenborough has ONE working PERTIS machine. Went yesterday for a stint as I was in the area. Not your usual red one, it looks more like a parking ticket machine. I was surprised to find that they don't print them on card, they print them on paper that's not as thick as a ticket, but thicker than a receipt roll, so they are quite flimsy.

When I say one working machine, it's the one on the Nottingham platform, the other one doesn't work.

An update of my travels in the West Midlands; managed to get some PERTIS tickets at Bescot Stadium, Witton, Stourbridge Town, Hall Green, Spring Road, Yardley Wood, Small Heath and Coseley. The machine at Aston was there but not in use due to the ticket office being open, the one at Tyseley was broken and the one at Tipton switched off (new ticket machine on the Birmingham-bound platform).

One problem I did find was that the machines do not like the new 5p coins, which was a pain in the backside - so London Midland have a 50p at Yardley Wood from me.

I couldn't get a 5p to work in the one at Colwall, so I had to put 20 in!
