Person Struck by Train at Reading West

A person has been hit by a train at Reading West. All lines blocked between Reading West and Newbury/Basingstoke. Occured at around 12:00. Service involved was the 11:18 Paddington to Bedwyn. Thoughts with those involved.

Anyone coming from Basingstoke are advised to use SWT services from Basingstoke to Woking and Guildford and then FGW from Guildford to Reading.

West of England services diverted.

Another sad incident of this nature. :(

It's fortunate FGW services are running between Guildford & Reading, despite the earlier major electrical fire at Redhill, which seems to have knocked out some of the signalling equipment there.

Condolences to the family of the individual concerned but I'll repeat what I've posted here several times:

what is it with Reading and suicides?
