If services weren't already going to be rammed to the point of bursting towards Cardiff today with both international rugby and football on one day, it's now been announced that a person has been hit by a train at Pencoed. I imagine that a lot of services will now take the VoG diversion, but given that the ATW/GWR twitter teams already take significant flak for a lack of capacity on rugby days I think this is pretty much their worst nightmare.
That said, if those travelling from stations between Bridgend and Cardiff can successfully be bussed to Cardiff instead it might become an alternative strategy for match days.
