Penzance - Lands End

Does anybody know how I get to Lands End when I get off the 0800 sleeper arrival into Penzance?

Google Maps tells me it's 8.4 miles, but that's it!

the last bus back departs lands end at 18.27 arrives penzance 19.22

sunday and public holidays

penzance depart 9.25 arrives lands end at 10.18
the last bus back departs lands end at 18.37 arrives penzance 19.32

run by First bus company, the bus numbers are 1 and 1a and stop and different bus stops on the route.

Lovely bus ride but wrap up warm at Lands End as it was refreshing in June! Hope the Hotel & shop are open for you.

There is a very nice cafe in the car park opposite the station that serves a nice breakfast, and that should work out nice for the bus time as well.

Would recommend a Penzance PlusBus unrestricted day ticket for £2 which will take you to Lands End and other surrounding areas.

If you are just going to Land's End, the bus sounds a good option.
When we did this journey a couple of years ago, we planned to visit a number places around Cornwall and so we booked a hire car for the weekend. There is an office at Penzance station (or there was when we went) and so cars are available to collect when you get off the sleeper train (but book in advance). Not very public transport friendly admittedly, however, nor is Cornwall particularly and it does cost a lot more than a bus, but could be useful to know if you want to see a number of places, it worked very well for us.

But you dont get a bus there, you walk/get a boat

That depends on the tide since you can't walk to St Michael's Mount at high tide unless you want to be swept away by the current.

Yes it does, the closest you can get to St Michaels Mount is Marazion which is in the area. It's a walk or a ferry from there depending on the tide.

How clued up are drivers about PlusBus. My guess is that most drivers in Liverpool would have no idea what it was, let alone where it's valid!
